We are a shipyard specializing in building aluminum boats for professional use. In addition, we also work as an auxiliary company to the shipbuilding industry, building aluminum superstructures for large ships, as well as design and construction of interiors. On the other hand, we have a business unit dedicated to the design and construction of aluminium marine structures, marinas, floating structures, gangways, etc.

Since our beginnings in 1987, we have grown to become leaders in maritime aluminium in Spain, having participated in many shipbuilding projects, as well as in the construction of more than 70 ships:

From the very beginning, we have been committed to design, innovation, our own technology and quality, developing our own know-how and providing many technical innovations, both in the manufacture of the products and in the assembly processes and the technical means required to do so.

This has required the contribution of significant resources, both human and financial, and a policy of continuous improvement and reinvestment. Currently, the search for differentiation is fundamental to ensure our competitiveness in the market: the technological development of our ideas is aimed not only at finding innovative solutions, but also at improving productivity and customer satisfaction.

It is a path that never ends, but it allows us to know where we are going and what we need and want to be: a solution for our customers’ needs.

Innovation

We are continuously implementing technical innovations, both in the manufacture of the products and in the installation processes and technical means. The result of this is the high degree of diversification we have achieved in the activities we carry out.

Environment

The implementation of the works tendered by AISTER will be carried out, if awarded, in accordance with the Environmental Management System (EMS) that AISTER AISLAMIENTOS TÉRMICOS GALICIA SA has implemented with scope to all activities, according to the UNE-EN-ISO 14001 Environment and has the certification No. ES 058757-1 Bureau Veritas (external audit company accredited by ENAC).

The company, in its constant desire to remain at the forefront of companies specialising in aluminium and to provide its customers with the safety of its manufacturing processes and efficiency in production control, has been certified in accordance with the UNE- EN 1090: 1 2009 + A1 2011 standard for the construction of steel and aluminium structures. This certification has been obtained after an audit by Bureau Veritas Certification which verifies the conformity of factory production control and this certification allows AISTER to manufacture structural elements in aluminum with CE marking.

Total quality

Our goal is to implement systems and procedures in the company’s production to prevent defective goods from being produced. Thus over the years, AISTER has managed to prevent errors, reduce costs and be more competitive, so it has managed to increase the satisfaction of the needs of our customers, as evidenced by the “customer satisfaction surveys” that AISTER performs each year.

Internationalisation of activities

In addition to Spain and Portugal, our natural market, our products can be seen in many countries around the world; this is the case of the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Cyprus, Tunisia, Morocco, Turkmenistan, Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Iran, China, Japan, Singapore, Cuba, Falkland Islands, Peru, Brazil, Cape Verde and Angola.

FACILITIES

AISTER currently operates in the following facilities located in Moaña, a town hall of the Ria de Vigo, with a total area of 25,000 m²:
o Shipyard and boiler house 3.224 m²
o Shipbuilding and warehouse 1.627 m²
o General office 235 m²
o Shipyard office, ship fitting out, ship insulation, ship supply and technical office 150 m²
o Concession of the Port Authority of 5,000 m², for the construction of a 1,750 m² warehouse (in project).

The location of AISTER facilities can improve the quality and production to have its own dock and therefore be an ideal place to perform all tests of sea, stability, etc. It also improves competitiveness by enabling an increase in storage area for both raw materials and for semi-finished and finished products, implement systems for organizing production to reduce the number of nonconformities, etc.
