The Supercluster Atlantinc Wind (SAW) strategic alliance was created with the aim of creating a shared strategy to position northern Spain as an international benchmark in offshore wind energy.
The agreement is made up of three of the main industrial clusters linked to offshore wind energy in northern Spain: Sea of Innovation Cantabria Cluster (SICC), Galician Offshore Energy Group (GOE-ASIME) and the Asturias Energy Technology Consortium (AINER).
Among the main objectives of the agreement are to promote the coordination and collaboration of the different associations; the promotion of fluid communication and collaboration with the Central Government; and the positioning of the value chain of northern Spain as an international benchmark in offshore wind energy.

Below, we show you how to navigate the platform in a clear and simple way.
At a glance, we can see on the left a drop-down menu with the different clusters, roles, provinces and categories; and on the right a map. Thus, by clicking on these drop-down menus, we select the information we want to view, filtering by the different categories available.
On the other hand, we have the list of categories, so that by clicking on it, we can view all the companies that belong to that category, regardless of the cluster to which they belong.
The map allows us to visualize the companies in different colors according to their role in the value chain. Thus, if a company has a single role, it will be in a single color, while a company with different roles will have as many colors as it has roles in the value chain. In addition, the map can be easily zoomed in and out according to our preferences.
Finally, just below the map is a list of the companies, the cluster to which it belongs, the province and locality in which it is located and a brief description of the entity.

Types of value chain roles
Sea Of Innovation Cantabria Cluster (SICC): This is the first marine energy cluster in Spain. It was created in 2012 with the aim of integrating all the actors operating in the marine energy sector in Cantabria; with the objective of making the region a center of national and international excellence.
Galician Offshore Energy Group (GOE-ASIME): It is a key player in the dynamization of the offshore sector. It was founded in 2013 with the aim of boosting the offshore wind sector and identifying opportunities, market expectations and joint courses of action.
Consorcio Tecnológico de la Energía de Asturias (AINER): It was established in 2009 with the purpose of promoting technological development in the regional energy sector. It is currently made up of 49 entities that cover the entire industrial chain of the energy sector.
The SAW is an open alliance in which other associations in the North Atlantic area are expected to join in the short term.
