Navantia’s fundamental development sector is the design, manufacture, delivery and commissioning of military naval units.
The civil industrial development part of the company lies in the Diversification area, which is basically based around offshore wind power. Developing both fixed structures (Jackets) and floating structures (Spar, semi-submersibles, etc.), where Navantia is the European leader in number of manufactured units. Additionally, Navantia manufactures offshore substations, to allow the transport of the energy obtained in the offshore wind farms.
Located in Fene and Cádiz, two of the Navantia shipyards are dedicated to the development of these activities
