The QAIR Group, with a presence in Spain through its subsidiary Qair Renewables Iberica SLU, is an independent international electricity producer with more than 650 employees and established in 20 countries where it develops renewable energy projects using different technologies: solar photovoltaic, battery storage, onshore and offshore wind, tidal energy, hydroelectric; including hydrogen production using green and/or low-carbon energy sources.

QAIR’s strategy is to develop projects from their initial phase, taking into account the territory, in order to operate the projects throughout their useful life. At a global level, QAIR has a diversified portfolio of more than 30 GW in 20 countries, with 1 GW in operation, and 3 GW in operation planned for 2027.

With regard to offshore wind, since 2015 the company has been a pioneer in floating technology, participating in the maintenance of the 2 MW Floatgen prototype turbine in France. In addition, the group has a floating offshore wind project under construction (30MW, Eolmed) and a development portfolio of more than 7GW, of which 3GW already have exclusive rights to the seabed. More specifically in the Iberian Peninsula, QAIR is developing offshore wind projects in the ZAPER areas designated by the Marine Spatial Planning Plans, with the exception of some projects of less than 50MW in exclusive port waters.
